Rosy Monday is culmination of the carnival period in Germany.
The event is usually accompanied by colorful parade and so-called Rosy Monday train.
The date of the holiday is not fixed, but it is always 48 days before Easter.
The First carnival train was organized in 1823 in Cologne.
Hence the tradition spred to other German cities.

The imprescriptible attributes of the festival are motley costumes and masks.
They symbolize conjuration of spirits and farewell to winter.
